The ‘Flatform’ (a platform that is flat) a hybrid shoe that is said to be ‘THE SHOE’ of 2012! Personally I love the idea of being taller without the painful strain of heels, this way you can look like a six foot model in flats, what more could you ever want?!

I especially love the velvet mustard flatforms by Chanel.

For a much cheaper alternative, the ‘Viper flatform sandal’ available @ ASOS for £50! The black floral is on my wish list.

So as I said I wanted to set up a little online vintage shop of my own, so far it’s been successful selling a few dresses here and there! There’s no doubt I need to get some more stock, I might delve in to buying some menswear that would be exciting. For now I’m sticking to beautiful dresses and hopefully some Kitsch accessories & handbags. I’ve also been wrapping the item’s up in the most lovely way with decorative tissue papers, string & victorian stickers, it’s nice to make an effort.

A compilation of my favourite VICE covers & photograph’s, i adore the magazine and have just ordered a few back issue’s for £5 even though the actual mag is totally free which is amazing! They can usually be picked up in retro/vintage/quirky boutiques who stock them for the customers.

Unicorn Taxidermy will be an online vintage shop possibly on ASOS marketplace, EBAY, and even a feature on this very website! I plan to sell a range of vintage products from 60′s,70′s & 80′s attire along with quirky home accessories. Even customised one off garments will be sold such as dresses with the unicorn taxidermy logo which I will design in the near future and also tie-dye skirts & t-shirts. It’s my first time of setting up an online shop and it’s rather exciting! I hope it will be a success and plan to attend local vintage fairs and markets with my own stall selling the products. Keep posted for the shops opening date to get your hands on some proper bargains, I don’t plan to overprice like most vintage shops and I won’t con you by buying from charity shops just good quality pure vintage!

For one photography brief we were asked to create a ‘colour story’ I chose to focus on using poems for inspiration, what’s better than beautiful descriptive words that already tell stories. They are already conjuring up a visual in your mind as you scour across the page and this really appeals to me bringing the words to life. I chose the The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock by T.S Eliot. It’s a beautiful poem and will probably reference to it again as i only focused on one segment which happened to be ‘I grow old, I grow old, I will wear my trousers rolled’. The theme of colour for the shoot was RED. I was visually inspired by the ads for ‘The Kooples’ as they use colour especially well in their campaigns and are ridiculously good looking couples (i don’t believe they are actually real couples but if they are they are truly cool).
